Last night I couldn't sleep, I thought about "rel Canonical" and how it f@cked me up real bad on my SEO quests in past few months.
What I'm doing is, finding stupid affiliate programs, that use dynamic tracking urls for tracking and getting referrals.
I then use that direct url and build an offsite seo for it.
I pump the hell out of it with nice backs from domains I own. Domains I mostly use are expired ones with few back-links and good link juice from edu and gov sites and also some org sites with clean background, (medical sites, treatment centers, schools.. I think you know what I mean).
I was doing this for a specific affiliate program for some time, but I noticed my good SERPs were dropping like fly's.
I needed quite some time, but yesterday I realized, they put canonical on some pages. Oh well, I guess they f@cked me nicely with this step.
Now my goal is to find new urls and subpages they own which don't contain canonical rel in them. I already found few of them, but still need to try them out and see what happens.
